Death of man, 56, in N.J. city being investigated as a homicide

A 56-year-old man who was found dead behind a building in Union City on Nov. 14 was the victim of a homicide, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Wednesday.
An autopsy conducted by the regional medical examiner’s office concluded that the victim, identified as Reynaldo Gonzalez, died of complications due to blunt force injuries, the prosecutor’s office said.
Union City police had responded to a report of an unconscious man in the rear of a building on 23rd Street.
